Modesty Code:

All dancers are expected to maintain a high level of modesty during dance classes and at performances. This includes, but is not limited to:

*Tights worn under leotards at all times.

*No loose fitting shorts (like boxer shorts).

*No bare bellies.

*Jazz/dance pants that come down no lower than right underneath the dancer’s belly button.

*Undergarments that are not too showy or inappropriate.

Failure to follow these rules may result in a missed class.

Teachers reserve the right to deem something outside the modesty code at any time.

For questions or concerns regarding this code, please see Ms. Laurel

Dress Code:

Ballet Students are required to wear certain dance attire during class.

Ages 3-4:

*Pink tights, PINK leotard and pink full-sole LEATHER ballet slippers

Ages 5-18:

*Pink tights, BLACK leotard and pink split-sole leather or canvas ballet slippers.  Skirts or dance shorts can be worn over the leotard as long as they fit the body closely so as not to obscure the teachers view of the dancer’s body alignment.

Jazz, tap Irish Step and Ballroom students are required to follow the modesty code and to wear comfortable dance attire that allows for ease of movement.  Street clothing is not allowed except for in our ballroom classes. The correct shoe is very important. Please purchase the following.

Jazz:

*Jazz shoes or ballet slippers

Ballroom:

*Heeled dress shoes for the ladies (no black soles) and dress shoes for the gentlemen.

Conduct Code:

All DDDAA dancers and parents are expected to adhere to the seven C’s that keep our dance environment positive and uplifting as well as highly educational.  The 7 C’s are:

*Cooperation

*Commitment

*Courage

*Courtesy

*Compassion

*Character

We believe that when these 7 C’s are taught, expected, and followed, what results is an awesome dance experience for all involved.  For more specific information on the 7 C’s, please contact your classroom teacher.
